Dil Mein Ab Yun Tere Bhule Huye Gham Aate Hain

Dil Mein Ab Yun Tere Bhule Huye Gham Aate Hain
Jaise Bichhade Huye Kabe Men Sanam Aate Hain

Ik Ik Kar Ke Huye Jaate Hain Tare Raushan
Merii Manzil Kii Taraf Tere Qadam Ate Hai.N

Raqs-E-May Tez Karo, Saaz Kii Lay Tez Karo
Su-E-Maikhana Safiraan-E-Haram Ate Hain

Kuch Hamin Ko Nahin Ehasan Uthane Kaa Dimaag
Vo To Jab Aate Hain Mail-Ba-Karam Aate Hain

Aur Kuchh Der Na Guzare Shab-E-Furqat Se Kaho
Dil Bhii Kam Dukhataa Hai Vo Yaad Bhii Kam Aate Hain

Faiz Ahmed Faiz

Bol Keh Lab Aazaad Hain Tere

Bol Keh Lab Aazaad Hain Tere
Bol Zabaan Ab Tak Teri Hai
Tera Satwan Jism Hai Tera
Bol Keh Jaan Ab Tak Teri Hai
Dekh Ke Aahangar Ki Dukan Mein
Tund Hain Shole Surkh Hain Aahan
Khulne Lage Qaffalon Ke Dahaane
Phaila Har Ek Zanjiir Ka Daman
Bol Yeh Thora Waqt Bahot Hai
Jism-O-Zaban Ki Maut Se Pehle
Bol Kek Sach Zinda Hai Ab Tak
Bol Jo Kuch Kehne Hai Keh Le

Chashm-E-Mayaguun Zaraa Idhar Kar De

Chashm-E-Mayaguun Zaraa Idhar Kar De
Dast-E-Kudarat Ko Be-Asar Kar De
Tez Hai Aaj Dard-E-Dil Saaqii
Talkhi-E-May Ko Tez-Tar Kar De
Josh-E-Vahashat Hai Tishnaakaam Abhii
Chaak-E-Daaman Ko Taazagaar Kar De
Merii Qismat Se Khelane Vaale
Mujh Ko Qismat Se Bekhabar Kar De
Lut Rahii Hai Merii Mataa-E-Niyaaz
Kaash! Vo Is Taraf Nazar Kar De
‘Faiz’ Takmiil-E-Aarazuu Maaluum
Ho Sake To Yuu.N Hii Basar Kar De

gar mujhe is ka yaqeen ho, mere hamdam, mere dost

gar mujhe is ka yaqeen ho, mere hamdam, mere dost
gar mujhe is ka yaqeen ho keh tere dil ki thakan
teri aankhon ki udasi, tere seene ki jalan
meri diljoee mere pyar se mit jaey gi…

gar mera harfe tassalli woh dawa ho jis se
ji uthe phir tera ujra hua be noor dimagh
teri peshani se dhul jaein yeh tazleel ke daagh
teri beemar jawani ko shifa ho jaey

gar mujhe is ka yaqeen ho, mere hamdam mere dost

Rozo shab, shamo sehar main tujhe behlata rahoon
main tujhe geet sunata rahoon,halke,shereen
aabsharon ke, baharon ke, chaman zaron ke geet
aamde subah ke, mahtaab ke, sayyaron ke geet

yunhi gata rahoon,  gaata rahoon teri khatir
geet bunta rahoon, betha rahoon teri khatir

per mere geet tere, dukh ka mudawa hi nahin
naghma jarrah nahin, mooniso ghamkhwar sahi
geet nishtar to nahin, marhame aazaar sahi

tere aazaar ka chara nahin, nishtar ke sewa
aur yeh sifak maseeha mere qabze main nahin
is jahan ke kisi zi rooh ke qabze main nahin!

haan magar
tere sewa, tere sewa, tere siwa

Faiz Ahmed Faiz

A best Faiz Ahmed Faiz Ghazal with English Translation ‘Gulon mein rang bhare baad-e-naubahaar chale’

Chale bhi aao ke gulshan ka kaarobaar chale
How I wish flowers take new colours!
And the breeze brings fresh winds of change.
I plead you, come to me now, my love,
Maybe, if you come, my garden may bloom again.

Qafas udaas hai yaaro saba se kuchh to kaho
Kahin to bahr-e-Khuda aaj zikar-e-yaar chale
My caged body is cheerless today,
Someone please fill hope in the morning breeze.
For god’s sake! don’t let it not go empty,
Let it carry with it the story of our friends.

Kabhi to subah tere kunj-e-lab se ho aaghaz
Kabhi to shab sar-e-kaakul se mushakbaar chale
When will we wake into the morning,
To the sweet sound from your lips,
And when in the evening will we rest,
Taking in the scent of your hair.

Bara hai dard ka rishta yeh dil gharib sahi
Tumhare naam pe aaenge ghamgusaar chale
Strong is the bond of pain,
though we are weak and poor,
When we hear your call,
We, all your friends, will come together.

Jo hum pe guzri so guzri magar shab-e-hijraan
Hamaare ashk teri aaqbat sanwaar chale
We went through hell, but all right.
Once this evening of separation is over,
Our tears would have,
Cleaned you for your next life.

Maqaam Faiz koi raah mein jacha hi nahin
Jo kue yaar se nikle to sue daar chale
O’ Faiz, in my exile, no place,
Gave me any pleasure,
After I left my circle of friends,
I found solace only in gallows of death.
